HOMESCHOOL BASKETBALL PROGRAM
Bounce Back
Assisting young people in detention through mentorship and guidance. We use sport as a vessel to connect with young people in detention to help them make better choices and figure out what they would like to after they get out.
BK Regional Outreach
BK Regional Outreach Program aims to support regional areas in receiving support and the same opportunities that are available in the city. Places such as Charleville, Cunnamulla, North Stradbroke Island, Hervey Bay, Maryborough, Gympie, Cherbourg, Murgon, Kingaroy have all been reached through this program.
Women In Sport Programs
Encouraging more young women to get involved in sport through female specific basketball clinics, seminars, and events. With declining numbers with young girls and women in sport, these programs aim to do our part in engaging women into sport and focuses on inclusion.
Big Bounce
Helping young people transition out of youth detention through our Big Bounce Program. Teaching them life skills and healthy habits to help them succeed after release. Vital in helping youth and staying away from recidivism within the youth detention system.
Aboriginal & Torres Straight Islander Programs
This focuses on inclusion and helping young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander engage in basketball, culture, and community through free basketball clinics, events, and tournaments such as the NAIDOC 3x3 Basketball Tournament.
Youth Detention Centres
Community sports mentoring programs in youth detention centres use sport as a tool to support the personal development and rehabilitation of young people in custody. Mentors, coaches, community workers, or trained volunteers, engage detainees in structured sporting activities that promote teamwork, discipline, respect, and healthy lifestyles.
BK Assist
Targeted early intervention program assisting at-risk, disengaged, and disadvantaged young people. We connect with and engage young people using basketball as a vessel to mentor and lead them into pathways in education, employment, sport, and community.
Multicultural Programs
Promoting multiculturalism and embracing diversity through our work with culturally and linguistically diverse young people. We facilitate free multicultural clinics, tournaments, and events to help bring people of all cultures together.
NAIDOC 3 x 3
Games, First Nations market stalls, First Nations uniforms, prizes, giveaways, food, and fun celebrating Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Culture through a free youth basketball tournament on NAIDOC Week. Last year we had over 100 teams register in the tournament. It is unlike any other tournament in the world as it intertwines culture, basketball, and community.
