The future of girls' basketball is looking brighter than ever at BK Owls, with the club's U10 girls teams experiencing incredible growth since the club's early days. When BK Owls first began, the club had just one U10 girls team made up of six players.

Today, that number has grown to three U10 girls teams with a total of 22 players, highlighting the increasing opportunities available for young girls to get involved in basketball. The growth reflects the welcoming and supportive environment that has become a hallmark of the BK Owls community.

Through a focus on player development, enjoyment, and inclusion, more young girls are choosing to take up the sport and continue their basketball journey with the club. A significant part of this success can be attributed to the dedicated coaches who have invested countless hours into developing players both on and off the court.

Rachel Wykes, Jess McDowell-White, Craig Brown, Mark Connor, and Cass Parker have all played an important role in creating positive experiences for players and helping build a strong culture within the club. Their passion and commitment have not only helped players improve their basketball skills but have also fostered confidence, friendships, and a genuine love for the game.

The growth of the U10 girls teams is a testament to the strength of the BK Owls community and the dedication of its coaches, volunteers, players, and families. As participation continues to rise, the club remains committed to providing opportunities for young female athletes to learn, compete, and thrive through basketball. With three teams now proudly representing the BK Owls, the future of girls' basketball within the club has never looked stronger.
